Online credit card processing
We have partnered with WorldPay to provide
you with the best Internet security available today.
Before we start to process any orders within your Internet
Store, you must need to have first obtained a WorldPay merchant
account.
Merchant Account
To accept payment over the internet, by phone fax or email,
you will need a merchant account (sometimes called an Internet
Merchant Account / IMA). This is distinct and separate to
any merchant account that you may already have with a bank.
WorldPay can:
- provide you with a WorldPay merchant
account directly within as little as 48 hours. WorldPay
accepts over 90% of companies that apply for merchant account
facilities.
- process your online transactions
through your Internet merchant account (IMA) and remit the
funds directly into your company bank account within 28
days.
To apply for a WorldPay merchant account,
click on the apply
link and follow the simple instructions.
International Transactions
WorldPay (through their WorldDirect service) will allow you
to process transactions in 3 different currencies. (the most
widely used being Pounds Stirling, US Dollars and the Euro)
Other currencies are available from WorldPay if necessary.
Security and Anti-Fraud
There are several levels of security available to you (and
to protect you and your customers we insist on you using them
ALL) through the WorldPay partnership, these include:
- Card Validation
This checks the card holder's card details to make sure
that the card has not been reported lost or stolen and that
sufficient funds are available to process the transaction.
- AVS - Address
Verification Service
This checks the card holder's address details to make sure
that the details entered match the card holder's details
stored at the bank.
- Card Verification
Check
To prevent any stolen credit card details from being used
to purchase a product from your branded Internet store,
the last three numbers on the reverse of the card (in the
signature strip) must be entered before a transaction will
be authorised. (These digits are never stored anywhere and
therefore cannot be obtained illegally)
